SPIRIT GIRLS, SONGS THAT NEVER DIE

For Marnie Weber's third exhibition with the gallery, she will present a series of photographic collages based on a fictional narrative about a group of girls who have died, gone to heaven and come back to earth as spirits to put on a musical.
Weber will be showing large scale collages depicting the girls in fantasy stage-like settings which are dream-like sequences from the musical. A video of the girls acting in costume within various elaborate sets in the theater setting make this video feel like the making of a surreal opera from another world and time.
